“Movement, Mind and a Little Magic to Find Calm & Focus, Flexibility and Positive Force”
Yoga Workshops Zen Room Saturday October 19th 1pm and Zen Room Sunday October 20th 4pm

Rebecca began her fitness career as a personal trainer in 2007 and holds certifications from the American Council on Exercise as both a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. In 2021, she completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training under the guidance of Sonia Kaur in San Juanillo, Costa Rica. This training followed the 8 limbs of yoga, as presented by Patanjali.

Rebecca was first introduced to yoga during her NCAA athletic training. Believing that yoga aligns naturally with modern principles of functional fitness, she founded Heron, aiming to empower students of all ages. Through Heron, she fosters strength, confidence, and passion in every student’s fitness journey.

Join Rebecca for two Yoga sessions in the Zen Room!

Saturday October 19th 1pm End Range Training in Yoga
End range of motion training improves flexibility faster than passive
stretching, it increases muscle strength and size, and it improves our
body’s sense of itself in space (proprioception), which means improved
balance and coordination, among other benefits.
Luckily, you’re already doing this type of mobility training if you’re
practicing yoga. It’s helpful to understand when and how you’re doing end
range training in yoga and it can be emphasised in your practice for
functionality in everyday life and in sport.

Sunday October 20th 4pm Steady and Sweet
In this workshop we’ll explore the yogic concepts of Stira and Sukha. Each
posture is a mini meditation as you search to balance ease and effort in
your practice.
