What is NEW?

NORTHUMBERLAND EXPO FOR WOMEN (NEW) is a two-day expo bringing women entrepreneurs, educators, and artists together for one fabulous weekend of shopping, networking, sharing and learning.

Who is organizing NEW?

The brainchild of Northumberland County entrepreneurs, Signe Langford (Port Hope Makers’ Market) and Maria Papaioannoy (Northumberland Women), NEW invites guests to be inspired by some of the smartest, most vibrant and creative women from Northumberland County and beyond.

What can I expect at NEW?

Guests will shop women-owned businesses in our marketplace; relax and indulge in tasty treats at our in-house cafe, and engage in workshops, panel discussions, and talks with the dynamic women – from financial advisors to writers and everything in between! – who make this county tick.

For two enlightening days, we’ll shine a spotlight on women entrepreneurs, business leaders, knowledge keepers, artisans, culinary professionals, and more.

Can I buy my ticket at the door?

Sure can! We take cash or eTransfer.

Are tickets being sold at any locations in Northumberland County?

Currently, tickets are available from our Platinum Sponsor Embellish 975 Elgin Street West, Cobourg, (at the southwest corner of Elgin and William, just across the street from the Best Western).

Can girls come to NEW?

Heck ya! Girls 18 and under can come to NEW for FREE.

Will there be food and drink available at NEW?

Yes! We are excited to announce the NEW Cafe will be operated by the wonderful team at Milly’s Cafe!

Will there be any gluten-free or vegan options on the menu?

You bet! We will make sure everyone can enjoy a bite to eat at NEW.

Where is NEW happening?

We have rented out the entire gym at the Cobourg Community Centre! Here is a link to the centre.

What about parking?

Cobourg Community Centre (CCC) has ample free parking.

Is the Cobourg Community Centre fully accessible?

Indeed! CCC is fully accessible.

Can men and boys come?

Nope. Sorry, not sorry. But, if you’ve got a baby boy, naturally that’s fine.
